The book, a reflection of lifelong lessons that Dr. El-Ramly has observed throughout the years and captured as quotes or “Zakisms”, has been one of Zak’s greatest enjoyments to compile. Zak’s inspiration comes from observing how human nature is simple yet intricate. Zakisms: Life, Simply Stated is a compilation of some of his own Zakisms, mixed in with his favorite quotes by others. By publishing the book, Zak hopes that these words will provide the same inspiration to others as they have done for him and his family. Zakisms: Life, Simply Statedvery much highlights the nature of life and the eternal need for compromise.

Zakisms: Life Simply Stated Released

Zakisms: Life, Simply Stated was published by Mattain Publishing effective September 15, 2015. Zakisms represent the insight that Dr. Zak El-Ramly has gained through his personal, social, and professional life, and represent principles that Zak has managed to articulate and express as quotes. The book also captures other people's quotes that rhyme with Zak's views on life.

Zak recognizes that many of us learn the same life lessons; the difficulty is recognizing the applicability of our experiences to others and taking the time to express them in words. Zakisms is the articulation of such lessons, as in the last few years Zak has recognized the added value of verbalizing his insights to make them useable and possibly transferable. Zak was born and raised in Port-Said, Egypt. Zak has been happily married since 1965 to his loving and supportive wife, Salwa, who is a driver behind Zak’s success. Their four children, Aiman, Waleed, Manal and Nader have risen to carry key management roles at ZE, and with their diverse skill sets, are instrumental in the success of ZE. He is blessed with 10 grandchildren, who add further fulfillment, challenge and stimulation to his life. Dr. El-Ramly has a PhD in Aeronautical Engineering from Carleton University and a masters and bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. Zak is a Canadian Professional Engineer.
